Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Airport guest house.

Entebbe is Uganda’s charming gateway! As you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, the anticipation for your incredible journey begins. Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, Entebbe is a city with a rich history and a vibrant atmosphere. After your arrival, we will transfer you to the comfortable Airport Guest House, where you can relax and unwind.

For the early arrivals, we will take the opportunity to explore Entebbe’s captivating attractions. The Entebbe Botanical Gardens offer a tranquil sanctuary, with beautiful gardens filled with exotic plants and an abundance of birdlife which we will explore.

Another highlight that we could visit is the Uganda Wildlife Education Center, also known as Entebbe Zoo. This renowned conservation center is dedicated to protecting and rehabilitating Uganda’s wildlife. Get up close to a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, and giraffes. Engage in educational programs and learn about the importance of wildlife conservation.

Day 2: Mabamba swamp later transfer to Kibale National Park,

Keep your binoculars ready and your senses alert, for the Mabamba Swamp is renowned for its diverse birdlife, including some rare and elusive species.

One particular highlight of Mabamba Swamp is the chance to encounter the legendary Shoebill, an enigmatic and prehistoric-looking bird that captivates all who lay eyes upon it. Over the next four unforgettable days, we delve into the lush tropical rainforest in search of the elusive African Golden Cat and an abundance of other captivating mammals.

Kibale National Park has earned a well-deserved reputation as the most reliable place to encounter the African Golden Cat. Through successful visual sightings and camera traps, this enigmatic feline has been observed within its territorial boundaries. To maximize your chances of spotting this elusive creature, we recommend spending several nights in Kibale National Park. The other location is Ruhija in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, however we recommend less days in that area. Our expert guides, equipped with their extensive knowledge and keen eyes, will lead the way as we venture deep into the rainforest in search of this magnificent cat.

However, the African Golden Cat is just one of the many treasures that await you in Kibale National Park. This tropical rainforest is renowned for its remarkable concentration of primates, making it a prime destination for primate enthusiasts. Nestled in the picturesque Albertine Rift valley, northwest of the majestic Ruwenzori Mountain, Semuliki National Park unveils its awe-inspiring beauty. This enchanting park represents an extension of the renowned Ituri Forest in the northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
